CONAPE is an instution that offers loans to students so that they can fulfil their dream of becoming professionals.
Inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement between the Comision Nacional de Prestamos para Education (CONAPE) and the Faculty of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente (UT).
CONAPE has loans available for short courses, technical courses, high school, bachelor's degrees, postgraduate degrees, exensions and equipment. CONAPE charges the lowest rate in the market with only 4.5% anually. Students do not have the obligation to return to their country after they finish their studies.
Scholarship value
2 tuition fee waivers per academic year of 50% for a new to be enrolled Costarican student and CONAPE beneficiaries in the UT's ITC MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (M-GEO) or MSc in Spatial Engineering (M-SE) programme for the next 5 intakes: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028.
Applicants may apply for up to 2 years of funding and request up to USD 30,000 per year. The amount of funding will vary. To develop evidence-based, innovative and interdisciplinary research on food system transformation at the national level.

Application requirements
The candidate needs to be admitted for one of the Maser programmes at the Faculty of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation of the University of Twente.
Application deadline: CONAPE processes complete applications, including both the application and the documents to support it. Once CONAPE receives the loan application and the documents are complete, the processing time is 30 days. It should be noted that from the moment the institution receives the loan application digitally, the applicant will be receiving information about the status of the application in their e-mail.
