ITC Alumni Grant for GeoSpatial Week 2019

ITC will be the proud host of the fourth ISPRS GeoSpatial Week (GSW) in June 2019. GSW is an internationally renowned scientific event held once every two years. The event represents more than 30 International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Working Groups, and aims to bring together expertise in the fields of photogrammetry, remote sensing, and GIS. Some 600 to 800 researchers and professionals from around the world gather for an entire week to share new findings and experiences through a series of dedicated workshops. In light of ITC’s mission regarding capacity development, the ITC directorate and alumni office will partially support ITC alumni to join the Geospatial Week.

 Suitable candidates must:
·         have a paper submitted and accepted to one of the ISPRS workshops
·         be an ITC alumnus
·         be currently living/working in a middle- or lower-income country1

Candidates will be selected based on their CV and their submitted paper.
For the selected candidates, ITC will fund the registration costs and accommodation (at the ITC hotel)
Alumni are responsible for their own travel expenses and any additional fees.

To participate, (the) candidates must submit their paper to the relevant ISPRS GSW workshop. Abstracts for papers in ISPRS Archives, are due by 4 February 2019.  Upon submission, candidates must also send an e-mail to gsw2019@utwente.nl with the candidate’s name, submission title, name of the workshop submitted to, and the candidate’s CV. The notification of the grant will be given before the early-bird registration deadline of 2 April 2019.
