Federal Institute of Pará (IFPA): Tatiana had recently taken on the immense task of organizing the next FOSS4G, scheduled for December 2024 in Belém do Pará. It quickly became evident that Tatiana and IFPA could be valuable partners for our Brazil hub.
Fast forward to December 2024, André Mano and Flávia Carvalho de Souza, from ITC, spent five days at IFPA, delivering advanced lectures to students and teachers on key topics where PGM excels: Land Administration (with a focus on the role of LADM and STDM), Geohealth, and the Spatial Development Framework. These challenging sessions sparked great curiosity among IFPA’s bachelor students, fostering engaging discussions.
Beyond the lectures, we had the opportunity to connect with other professors from IFPA, laying the groundwork for future collaborations set to begin in 2025 - expect news soon!
