Digital Twin Geohub

Digital Twinning for Urban and Rural Environmental Modelling

We are spearheading an exciting interdisciplinary initiative. This initiative aims to tackle pressing global issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, pandemics, and pollution by uniting experts from various fields.

Digital twinning, initially developed for the manufacturing industry, creates digital models of physical products. At the University of Twente, the Smart Industry Lab pioneers digital twinning research for industrial applications. Recently, digital twinning has expanded into the geospatial domain, creating digital replicas of physical environments. These dynamic models integrate diverse data and advanced analytics, offering comprehensive representations of past, present, and future states.
