The Rector Magnificus would like to announce that Prof.dr. Debra Roberts has been appointed as a Professor at the University of Twente in accordance with the Higher Education and Scientific Research Act. She will work on Science from a Majority World Perspective on the Professor Willem Schermerhorn Chair at the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) To mark the occasion of her appointment, she will deliver an Inaugural lecture in the Waaier 4 Building on Friday, 22 November 2024, at 16.00 hrs.
The title of this lecture will be: 'RADICAL REALISM-A PRACTITIONER'S SEARCH FOR USEFUL, ACTIONABLE AND EQUITABLE OPEN SCIENCE'
