Training: Publishing Spatiotemporal Data with STAC

This training workshop, organized by the Center of Expertise in Big Geodata Science (CRIB), aims to enable researchers to create and work with SpatioTemporal Asset Catalogs (STAC), which provides a standardized ways to expose collections of spatial temporal data. In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, the demand for effective management and dissemination of spatiotemporal data is greater than ever before. From tracking climate patterns to analyzing urban growth, the ability to harness and share spatiotemporal information is critical for informed decision-making across various domains. In this session, we'll explore how STAC can streamline data management and sharing, empowering you to leverage spatiotemporal information effectively in your projects.

The workshop covers the following aspects:

  • Fundamentals of STAC
  • Discovery of spatiotemporal data with STAC
  • Retrieving and further processing of data available in STAC catalogs
  • Publishing spatiotemporal data with STAC
