Open Spatial Research Infrastructures for GeoAI, IoT, and Digital Twins to Support Climate Change Adaptation

The meeting aims to bring together researchers and research supporters of ITC, UT and 52°North for exchange and discussions. With measures, strategies, citizen involvement, and governance processes for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction in mind, the symposium will touch upon the following aspects:

  • Research data infrastructures
  • Spatial information infrastructures
  • Co-design and co-development of information products
  • Open Science practices
  • Urban digital twins
  • ML/AI in Earth Sciences
  • Enabling real-time sensor data flows
  • Standardisation of time series data access

The emphasis of the event will be on where we differ, and hence can be complementary to each other. Besides research collaboration, other topics such as internships and Geoversity will also be discussed.

52°North is a private non-profit research institute participating in national and international research projects but also providing professional services for consultancy and open source software developments. The central theme of 52°North is the integration, analysis and provision of data and information products in Spatial Research Infrastructures. University of Twente is a shareholder of 52°North and the ITC has on-going collaborations in different fields with 52°North.
